Curtis (Edwin) is born in Roxbury.

March 26, 1861

Edwin Curtis graduates from Roxbury Latin and Bowdoin College, becomes a lawyer and is appointed city clerk. Curtis lives at 74 Highland Street. He serves as mayor (1895), as police commissioner during the Police Strike of 1919, then as a Metropolitan Parks Commissioner, and a bank official. He dies on March 28, 1922.
